Made of blackened blood wood, this wand was reportedly held by a high mage in the mage wars. Blood wood items require a blood pact to use. Once the pact has been made it cannot be undone except by a wish spell. 

With every spell cast above level 5 you run the risk of loosing a hit point. Roll a d4 and on a 1 you loose one hit point.
