A dark metal short-sword, it's hilt made from jagged driftwood, it's heavily stained with the blood of it's past victims. In the middle of the blade where the fuller should be lies a thin yet durable glass jar. The two edges of the blade do not meet at a point, but rather end around a half an inch apart from one another at the top of the sword.

The jar in the center of the blade can contain up to 500 mL of fluid, upon making a successful attack with the blade, the jar is filled with 100 mL of blood (provided the target struck has blood). As a bonus action, the wielder can allow the sword to take their own blood, the jagged hilt will stab into their hand and extract 100 mL, dealing 2d4 piercing damage.
100+ mL Gathered. when the jar in the sword's blade has been filled at least 100 mL (or 1/5) the wielder can do the following:
- Leech. As a bonus action, the wielder can drain the blood in the jar to heal themselves, regaining 1d4 hit-points per 100 mL drained, up to a maximum of 300 mL at a time.
- Empower Attack. Prior to making an attack roll the wielder can choose to drain the blood in the jar to empower the attack, dealing an additional 1d4 necrotic damage per 100 mL drained. If the attack roll is unsuccessful, the extra damage is lost.
500 mL Gathered. Upon reaching full capacity, the wielder will have the option to funnel all of the blood acquired into a single devastating attack. Upon a successful attack roll, the blade will drain all of its contents, dealing an additional 3d6 necrotic damage and afflict the target with a bleed de-buff, which will deal 1d6 necrotic damage at the start of each of the targets turns for the next three rounds. The bleed de-buff cannot be cured.
If the attack roll is unsuccessful, the extra damage (along with the bleed de-buff) is lost.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
