Xorn (the mad mage) wore an iron helmet to contain her Psionic Powers.  When she was tricked into removing it, his mind open to psychic attack's.  Jean Xorn was a Half-Giantess wizard driven mad with the unfortunate death of her only son by her own hand and a miss cast spell.  Certain that the ghost of her dead son would haunt her she crafted this helmet to block Psionic powers.
