-
Shadowstrike Enhancement: When worn by a monk, the wraps enhance the power of their unarmed strikes. With each punch, kick, or strike, the shadowy wraps coalesce around the monk's limbs, increasing the force and impact of their attacks. The wraps also grant the ability to pierce through conventional defenses, allowing the wielder to bypass armor and protection with ease. While attuned to this item, a monk gains a +2 bonus to their unarmed strikes and unarmed strike damage.
-
Eclipse Fury: By channeling their focus and energy, the monk can unleash the "Eclipse Fury." During this heightened state, the wraps intensify their shadow manipulation, granting the monk unparalleled speed and agility for 1 minute. This not only augments their movement but also allows them to blur and distort their form, making it challenging for opponents to anticipate their strikes accurately. The bearer gains a +2 bonus to their AC, and the bearer gains advantage on their next attack if an attack misses him due to this ability. The bearer may also use a reaction to make an attack if the attacker misses. You can use this ability once per short or long rest.
-
Shadow Illusions: The wraps have a limited ability to weave illusions using shadows. The monk can create illusory shadow duplicates or even obscure their presence briefly, granting them a tactical advantage in combat. These illusions are not perfect but can be used to disorient foes or create momentary confusion. If a creature attempts to attack the monk, they must roll 1d6. On a roll of 1-3, they attack the duplicate, which shares the bearer's AC and has 1 hitpoint. On a roll of 4-6, the attacker attacks the bearer directly. The clone lasts one minute, or until it is destroyed or this ability is used again. This ability can be used an amount equal to (1 + wisdom modifier) per long rest.
-
Ephemeral Stealth: When in complete darkness, the wraps enable the monk to blend seamlessly with the shadows, making them nearly invisible to the naked eye. This effect is particularly potent at night or in dimly lit environments. It allows the monk to approach or withdraw from enemies undetected. The bearer has advantage on stealth or sleight of hand checks while in dim light or darkness
-
Entangling Bind: In combat, the monk can use an action to momentarily intensify the shadow energy within the wraps, projecting it outward. This shadowy extension can ensnare opponents, hindering their movements and rendering them vulnerable. While not as strong as physical restraints, the entangling binds can be used strategically to create openings for follow-up attacks or to hinder adversaries in group battles. The affected creature must make a strength save equal to (10 + Wisdom Modifier + Proficiency Bonus) or be restrained until the end of their next turn.
- Shadow Swing: By extending the wraps' energy, the monk can create an ephemeral shadow tendril that latches onto a high point within 30 feet. Using this tendril as an anchor, the monk can swing across gaps or chasms with fluid grace. This technique combines agility and creativity, enabling the monk to traverse obstacles that would otherwise be challenging to overcome.
-
Tethered Maneuver: The monk can use the shadow tendril created for swinging to execute advanced acrobatics or controlled movements. This allows for dynamic combat tactics, such as quickly changing positions, gaining advantageous angles, or evading attacks with swift, unpredictable motions. In combat, the monk can use an action to latch on to a fixed point within 15 feet and pull himself to it. If an enemy would be in this path, the monk can use a reaction to make an attack against that creature with advantage.
