The blade of "The Shadow's Embrace" appears to be made of swirling shadows, giving it an ethereal and ever-changing quality. It is cool to the touch and seems to absorb light, casting a faint darkness around it. The hilt is adorned with intricate Celtic knotwork, with a raven's feather motif at the pommel.

Morrigan's Retribution: Once per long rest, when you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to unleash the Morrigan's wrath. The attacker must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or take 4d6 necrotic damage. On a successful save, they take half damage.
Shadowstep: As a bonus action, you can expend one of this weapon's charges to meld into the shadows, becoming invisible until the start of your next turn or until you make an attack. Regains expended charges at dawn.
Veil of Shadows: When wielded, The Shadow's Embrace allows it's user to summon a shroud of darkness, creating a 10-foot-radius area of magical darkness centered on themselves. This darkness functions as if cast by the Darkness spell. The user can see through this darkness as if it were normal light. This feature can be used once per long rest.
Fateweaver's Judgement: When the wielder lands a critical hit, this dagger will deal an extra 2d6 piercing damage to the target, even if they do not have advantage on the attack roll.
Whispers of Prophecy: "The Shadow's Embrace" occasionally whispers cryptic prophecies or insights to it's weilder, especially when faced with decisions related to the Morrigan's domain (death, war and fate). These insights may provide guidance or foreshadow future events.
Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
