Weapon (longsword), artifact

A mythical Katana forged long ago by the gods. The Katana has the ability to apply Heat Metal to itself, heating the blade up to unimaginable levels, making it do 2.5 times more damage per swing. However, Heat Metal needs to take 2 turns to cooldown after attacking with it, so its use is limited to one turn. Heat Metal does not need to be known in order to activate Heat Metal on Yama's Katana. Heat Metal's bonus damage is applied after the damage numbers have been rolled. Heat Metal's bonus damage is also applied to any Sword Technique or melee ability's used when Heat Metal is active.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Notes: Damage: Melee Weapon Attacks, Yama is considered the God of Death in Hinduism, and in this universe Yama was the name of the man believed to be the Incarnate of the God of Death; the one that's whereabouts are unknown.
