Armor (shield), very rare (requires attunement by a wielder who must take time to accustom themselves to the shields automatic dampening features as Sky Ward pulls or pushes air to soften enemy strikes.)

An ornate shield made of green plated jade and bright red leather wing frills that run down the sides much akin to the Sky Serpent it represents. 

While holding this shield, you have a +1 bonus to AC as it exudes air from the frills to soften the incoming attacks. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC. 

Sky Ward has 3 charges that reset at dawn.
As an action the wielder may expend 2 charges to create a concentrated blast of air casting gust of wind.

As a reaction to incoming projectile and magic the wielder can expend 1 charge to release a blasting surge of winds  to impose disadvantage on attacks that use ranged or spell attack rolls within 10 feet of the wielder.

As an action the wielder may cause a slight burst of air current propelled by the frills to cast gust at will. 

 

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
