This halberd represents the oaths of the Paladin who claims it, and acts as a lightning rod for the holy energies of the forces they give worship to. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. A paladin who chooses to attune themselves to this weapon binds themselves to their Oath forever - for good or for bad.
While attuned to this weapon you gain the following effects:
Peace. You have a +2 to any Charisma (Persuasion) ability check made on a creature you have not attacked.
Innocence. You take x Psychic damage anytime you attack a creature that has not attacked you or your allies, where x is equal to half the damage you deal with the attack.
Patience. Whenever you act on an action prepared using the Ready action you have advantage on the first attack roll, ability check, or saving throw made as part of that action.
Wisdom. Your Wisdom score is increased by 1, and you gain proficiency in the Wisdom (Insight) skill. In addition, whenever you make an Insight ability check you may add twice your proficiency modifier to that check.
Proficiency with a Halberd allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
