Yet another amazing creation by Magitech, this leather and brass grappling hook can be strapped around your forearm.
This acts as a ranged weapon (with a range of 30/60). It comes attached with 60 feet of braided, silken rope, attached to a grappling hook.
You can make a ranged attack against a creature, which deals 1d4 bludgeoning damage on a hit. On a hit, a creature is grappled, and must use an action on its turn to end the condition on itself (athletics check, dc 14).
You can use a bonus action to pull a grappled creature towards you, by contesting a strength check. If you succeed the check, they are pulled closer to you, and on a failure they either stay in place or (contestant's choice) you are pulled towards the contestant.
Additionally, you can try and attach the grappling hook to an object, such as a gargoyle, window ledge etc. To do so, make a ranged attack, with a 10 AC. You can then use a bonus action to pull yourself up towards where the grappling hook is lodged.
