A round, black coin made of a mysterious metal and has a red jewel encrusted in the center. The shadows of the lives stolen emanate from the coin at all times.

The Sanguine Pact Mark (a.k.a. Soul Coin) is the highest valued currency within your world. Its value does not reflect the value of gold, but rather the number of lives taken in the pursuit of adding legitimate value to this coin. The number of lives taken is said to be around 1,000 at minimum- at any given time.

The person that holds this coin is a contributor to its image: You are the proprietor of death. Any person who recognizes this coin will see the owner from this perspective and word will spread immediately upon transaction.

When the owner of this coin offers it as payment for goods and/or services, the recipient may not refuse under any circumstances. Otherwise, the magical effect of this coin will immediately kill the intended recipient and steal their soul. However, a contract must be made in exchange of goods and/or services or the coin will never leave the current owner’s possession.

This single coin can be used to purchase a business (i.e. a Shipping Company, Blacksmith Shop, Construction Company, etc.), services (i.e. mercenary contracts, personal chefs, blacksmithing, crafting, etc.), a Legendary/Wonderous Item, a lifelong contract-ownership of a being/beast/animal (can be dismissed by the current owner of this coin), or as determined by the Dungeon Master.

This coin feels heavy not in the physical aspect, but heavy on the soul and can be felt at all times while in its owner's possession.
