Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement)

"Death over dishonor. Embody His eternal wrath, become part of His eternal reach and fulfill His eternal revenge."

The sword is made of blackened steel with a long, undecorated cruciform hilt. The hilt emits black particles that float upwards, like dark embers off burning wood. The tip is coated in a fresh bit of blood that cannot be washed away.

When attuned, this sword becomes eternally fused into the wielder's psyche. They are now able to directly contact Yggaegetsu, the God of Warriors, and can ask for aid. In fights, The Horde of Yggaegetsu will cheer and encourage the wielder when they need it most.

This item cannot be unattuned from.

Without attunement, this is just a cool-looking +2 longsword.

With attunement, this sword will gain 3 charges. The wielder can spend these charges on the following abilities.

  • Eternal Revenge (Special + Reaction) - Call upon the God of Warriors himself and extrude two of his many arms out of your back. These two arms are always pale white and bloody. These arms last until long rest and grant an additional Action for their duration. These arms also grant a special Endure action, allowing you to use your new arms to block 3d10+6 of any damage type until your next turn.

  • Eternal Wrath (Special) - Spend a charge to enter a special rage state titled 'Eternal Wrath'. The user becomes engulfed in a deep red aura and gains resistance to bludgeoning, slashing and piercing damage. Eternal Wrath grants all attacks with Yggaegetsu's Arm  50% lifesteal, meaning all attacks with the blade return 50% of their damage dealt as health to the wielder. Eternal Wrath lasts for a turn.

  • Eternal Reach (Reaction) If an attack were to put any friendly creature within 30ft below 0 HP, put them on 1HP instead and swap places with them.

Charges for Yggaegetsu's Arm can be refreshed by landing a killing blow on any great foe, determined by your DM.

If the wielder of the blade ever dies, they are sent into a duel with Yggaegetsu. If they best Yggaegetsu, they will resurrect. The wielder can be resurrected this way only once.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Notes: Versatile, Sap
