Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement by a Person with a Cheerful Soul)
  • Radiant Glow: While the Yuletide Lantern is lit, it sheds bright light in a 60-foot radius and dim light for an additional 60 feet. The light is considered sunlight.

  • Holiday Spirit: The lantern can be used to cast Calm Emotions (save DC 17) once per short or long rest. When cast in this way, the spell also heals each affected creature for 4d8 hit points.

  • Cheerful Warmth: As an action, you can command the lantern to emit a protective aura of warmth and cheer. For the next 8 hours, you and all friendly creatures within 60 feet gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened and charmed, and resistance to cold and fire damage. This feature can be used once per long rest.

  • Guiding Light: The lantern can guide your way through any storm or blizzard. While attuned to the lantern, you and your companions can move through difficult terrain caused by snow or ice without being slowed. Additionally, you have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks made to navigate through snowy or icy conditions.

  • Jolly Illumination: Once per short rest, you can use an action to cause the lantern to cast Mass Cure Wounds (save DC 17), as the lantern's light pulses with festive magic, healing up to twelve creatures of your choice within 60 feet.

  • Festive Protection: Once per long rest, you can use an action to activate the lantern's festive magic to cast Globe of Invulnerability spell from the lantern. The globe encloses both the creature and the lantern.
