This is a magical yklwa by which the wielder can do additional damage to both the original target and another enemy target which has the lowest hit points currently remaining.

On successful hit of the original target, rolling 17-20 on the die, the yklwa does an additional 2d8 slashing damage to the target.  Also, on this successful hit, magic-imbued diamonds attached to the blade fly out to target the enemy character with the lowest hit points, doing 1d8 slashing damage.  The gems instantly return to the blade after causing the damage.

A yklwa (pronounced YICK-ul-wah) is a simple melee weapon that is the traditional weapon of Chultan warriors. A yklwa consists of a 3-foot wooden shaft with a steel or stone blade up to 18 inches long. It costs 1 gp, and it deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. Although it has the thrown weapon property, the yklwa is not well balanced for throwing (range 10/30 ft.).
