Weapon (greataxe), rare (requires attunement)

The Riversong Greataxe is a massive weapon crafted from the ancient wood of a riverbank tree and bound with shimmering, silver-like metal that seems to hum with the sound of rushing water. The blade is etched with flowing patterns reminiscent of river currents, and the axe’s haft is wrapped in bear fur, granting the wielder a strong grip. When swung, the axe emits a faint sound of a flowing river, soothing to allies and intimidating to foes.

Properties:

Torrent Strike:When you make a melee attack with the Riversong Greataxe, you can channel the power of a rushing river. As a bonus action, you can choose to make a Torrent Strike. On a hit, the target takes an extra 1d8 bludgeoning damage, and must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 16) or be knocked prone by the force of the strike. You can use this ability twice per long rest.

 Bear’s Endurance:

While raging and wielding the Riversong Greataxe, you have resistance to all damage types except psychic. Additionally, when you are reduced to 0 hit points while raging, you can use your reaction to drop to 1 hit point instead. When you do so, you regain a number of hit points equal to 1d12 + your Constitution modifier. Once this ability is used, it cannot be used again until you finish a long rest.

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Bludgeoning, Torrent Strike, Heavy, Two-Handed, Cleave
