This sword appears normal at first glance, but when activated, it releases a thick, yellow fog from the blade. The fog corrodes metal, stone, and flesh alike, leaving devastation in its wake.
-
Corrosive Fog ( 3 Charges ): As a bonus action, the wielder may speak this weapon’s command phase, activating the sword and releasing a 20-foot radius sphere of yellow corrosive fog centered on the sword. The fog lasts for 1 minute or until dismissed by the wielder (no action required).
- Toxic Cloud: Any creature that starts its turn in the fog or enters the fog for the first time on its turn must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 3d6 acid damage, or half as much on a successful save.
- Corrosion: Any non-magical metal or stone object in the fog area, such as weapons, armor, or structures, takes 1d4 acid damage at the start of each of the wielder's turns. If this damage reduces an item to 0 hit points, it is completely destroyed. Armor affected by this attack provides no AC bonus for the remainder of the encounter unless repaired.
- Obscured Vision: The fog heavily obscures the area, causing creatures inside to suffer from the Blinded condition.
-
Fog Mastery: While the corrosive fog is active, the wielder can see through the fog as if it were clear, allowing them to attack or cast spells without disadvantage due to visibility. Other creatures in the fog are considered blinded.
-
Fog Ward: The wielder is immune to the corrosive effects of the fog they create.
Charges: The sword has 3 charges. You can expend 1 charge to use the Corrosive Fog ability. The sword regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn.
