Shackles that become magically bound by the wearer of the shackles. Any attempt to break these shackles from an outside force result in a swift constriction of the shackles severing whatever appendage they are attached to. One they have been activated, the shackles begin to creep up and cut off the arms and legs of the wearers 6 inches every 30 seconds until there is nothing left of the appendage. The only way to take off the shackles without the adverse effects is the key.

These shackles were originally created to deter mages from attempting to escape imprisonment, but have been vastly adopted into being used on high value targets such as POW's, political prisoners, etc.
