You gain a +3 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. When you hit a Fiend or an Undead with it, that creature takes an extra 2d10 Radiant damage.
While you hold the drawn weapon, it creates a 10-foot Emanation originating from you. You and all creatures Friendly to you in the Emanation have Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. If you have 17 or more levels in the Paladin class, the size of the Emanation increases to 30 feet.

Posted Jan 11, 2026With the existence of Holy Avenger futuristic firearms, these are effectively the most expensive magic weapons of all time, barring possible auction prices of artifacts.
At its absolute cheapest, assuming you already have all the proficiencies and tools required, you could craft a Holy Avenger futuristic firearm for 120,000 GP, but it'd take 375 work days. If you could purchase one of the futuristic firearms straight from a vendor, the craft time drops to 250 days, but the price rises to 140,000 GP.
The base purchase cost of a Holy Avenger futuristic firearm, no crafting involved from the player, is estimated to be about 240,000 GP.
On top of that price, you'd need a functioning energy cell to actually use it, which is either another 20,000 GP and 125 days or another 40,000 GP.
But this is all because futuristic firearms are treated like very rare magic items when it comes to cost and construction. Modern firearms are instead treated like just rare magic items for cost and construction, so the coveted Holy Avenger Shotgun would cost either 102,000 GP and 300 days, 104,000 GP and 250 days, or a flat 204,000 GP, like any other Holy Avenger modern firearm. The cost of ammunition for any modern firearm is either 1,000 GP and 25 days per unit or a flat 2,000 GP per unit.
The reason energy cells cost the full amount for a very rare item and modern ammo is only half of a rare item is because modern ammo is a consumable (destroyed on use), while energy cells are rechargeable.
