This book has a number of charges for each spell in it. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges to cast the thunderwave , shatter and disintegrate spell (save DC 15) from it. You expend 3 charges for thunderwave, 2 for shatter and 1 for disintegrate. After using the disintegrate spell roll a 1d21, on a natural 1 roll- the Codex disintegrates as well.

The scroll regains all expended charges daily at dawn.
