Weapon (greataxe), uncommon

(Note: If you have Charge Blade (Axe Mode) equipped or in your inventory, be sure to add a Sword and a Shield to your inventory as well, and customize their name/notes to indicate they are a pair for the Charge Blade; though only either Axe Mode, or Sword and Shield, can be equipped at a time. If either the Sword or Shield is missing or dropped, Axe Mode cannot be used.)

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

The Sword and Shield are the base mode for this weapon, though it can change its form throughout combat. Note each successful hit made while in Sword and Shield mode, all hits after the 5th automatically miss unless a bonus action is used to convert these stored hits into an equal number of charges. You can always use a bonus action to reset your stored hit counter in this manner, but can never have more than 5 charges. While there are 4-5 charges, you gain +1 to your AC (Note: Can't set this up in Beyond, use custom overrides as necessary). It loses all charges if not used in combat for more than 1 minute. You can also use a Bonus Action to go from Sword and Shield Mode into Axe Mode (Unequip the Sword and Shield, and equip the Axe, or vice versa). This new mode is more powerful with additional elemental damage, and has a longer reach, though you won't be able to move as fast. While in this mode, you may spend charges to deal an additional d6 of elemental damage; Switching back and forth with proper timing is key to mastering this weapon. Lastly, when in Axe Mode with all 5 charges, you may cast a powerful Amped Element Discharge spell.

(Easiest way to track charges is on the Charge Blade (Axe Mode) item itself on the Equipment tab.)

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
