Weapon (greatsword), very rare (requires attunement)

You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. While wielding this weapon you gain an extra attack if you already have this feature you may attack three times per turn.

Sealed Form

  • Appearance: A simple, elegant greatsword with a dark steel blade and a hilt wrapped in red and blue cloth.

Shikai: "Ignite the Storm, Raikaji!"

  • Activation Phrase: "Ignite the Storm, Raikaji!"
  • Appearance: The blade crackles with electricity and is engulfed in flickering flames.
  • Abilities:
    • Thunderfire Slash: When you hit with an attack, the target takes an additional 1d8 lightning damage and 1d8 fire damage.
    • Storm's Edge: You can unleash a wave of fire and lightning in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 15), taking 3d6 lightning and 3d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This ability can be used once per short rest.

Bankai: "Heaven's Wrath, Raikaji no Arashi!"

  • Activation Phrase: "Bankai: Heaven's Wrath, Raikaji no Arashi!"
  • Appearance: The greatsword transforms into a massive, radiant blade surrounded by a swirling storm of lightning and fire.
  • Abilities:
    • Divine Storm: Your attacks deal an extra 2d10 lightning damage and 2d10 fire damage.
    • Inferno Tempest: As an action, create a storm of fire and lightning in a 30-foot radius centered on you. Enemies in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 18), taking 6d10 lightning and 6d10 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. This ability can be used once per long rest.
    • Storm's Embrace: Gain resistance to lightning and fire damage while in Bankai form.

 

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
