Wondrous Item, legendary

The Wraps of Dyamak are ancient strips of cloth, once worn by the legendary monk Dyamak, said to have achieved perfect harmony between body and spirit. The wraps are inscribed with golden runes that softly glow when touched. They are bound tightly around the wrists and hands, seamlessly merging with the wearer’s ki. When in use, they hum faintly, leaving glowing streaks of light in the air with every strike.

 Properties

The Wraps of Dyamak grant the following abilities and features:

  1. Harmonized Strikes

Your unarmed strikes resonate with balanced ki. While wearing these wraps:

  •    Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 2d8 radiant or necrotic damage (your choice when you first hit each turn).
  •    When you score a critical hit with an unarmed strike, you can choose to unleash a pulse of ki energy. All creatures within 10 feet of your target take radiant or necrotic damage equal to your Wisdom modifier + your Monk level.

 2. Balance of Ki

Dyamak’s philosophy emphasized perfect control over ki:

  •    When you spend ki points, you can roll a d4. On a roll of 4, you regain 1 ki point. This effect can occur a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once) per long rest.

 3.Wholeness of Spirit

Once per long rest, as a bonus action, you can activate the Wholeness of Spirit, entering a state of transcendence for 1 minute:

  •    During this time, you gain resistance to all damage types.
  •    Your unarmed strikes have advantage, and each strike heals you or an ally within 10 feet of you for 1d8 hit points.
  •    You have advantage on all saving throws.
  •    Glowing sigils of Dyamak’s teachings appear around you, granting allies within 15 feet a bonus to attack rolls and saving throws equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Notes: Damage: Unarmed Attacks, Damage: Unarmed Attacks, Bonus: Unarmed Attacks
