Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a Warlock or Paladin)

Zurak’s Gloomcoil: Legend holds that Zurak was once a promising warrior with an insatiable hunger to bend fate itself to his will. This obsession led him down forbidden paths until he caught the eye of Tharizdun, the Chained Oblivion. Tharizdun bestowed upon Zurak a terrible boon: a living, shape-shifting blade that embodies both power and corruption. You gain a +4 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Gloomcoil's Tendril (Charges 5): This weapon has 5 charges. As a bonus action, you can expend one charge to have the blade writhe and shift into a living, black tentacle, increasing its reach to 10 feet. As part of the same bonus action, you can attempt to trip a Large or smaller creature within 10 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or fall prone. At the start of your next turn, the tentacle reverts to its normal blade form, reducing its reach to 5 feet.
Regain Charges:
This weapon regains all charges daily at dusk.

Gloomcoil's Hunger: When you deal the killing blow with this weapon, you heal an amount equal to the damage dealt with the killing blow

Chains of Tharizdun: This weapon is cursed, and attuning to it extends the curse to you. The curse can only be removed by the Wish. You are unwilling to part with Zurak’s Gloomcoil, keeping it within reach at all times.

Gloocoil's Defiance: Gloomcoil longs to return to Tharizdun. Whenever you roll a 1 on an attack roll made with this weapon, the blade momentarily shifts into its tentacle form and lashes out at you. Immediately make a new attack roll with advantage against your own AC. On a hit, you take damage as though you had attacked yourself with the weapon.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.

Notes: Warlock or Paladin, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
