Gifted by The Wary Sword (Arvoreen) to a worthy protector, the Sentinel’s Lash serves as both a weapon and a reminder of vigilance. Its divine energy ensures that its wielder can protect allies, control the battlefield, and strike from unexpected angles.

Divine Reach
- Description: The whip can deliver divine smites, allowing the wielder to channel their divine energy through the weapon. This works the same way as smites delivered with melee weapons.
Guardian’s Grapple
- Description: When falling or jumping, the wielder can use their reaction to make an attack roll with the whip against an object or surface within its range (10 feet). On a hit, the whip securely attaches, potentially halting the fall or allowing the wielder to swing. Detaching the whip requires no action.
Vigilant Snare
- Description: When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can reduce its speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit by multiple weapons with this property, the speed reduction does not stack.
Holy Tether
- Description: Once per long rest, as part of an attack action, divine energy extends the whip’s reach by an additional 5 feet. You can use it to either pull yourself 15 feet toward a creature or object or pull a willing creature (up to Medium size) or an object (up to 300 lbs) 15 feet toward you. This effect does not deal damage.
Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
