Dragon Lair amulet is used in the dragon lair or dragon lord's lair spell to open a door into a pocket plane. It is made of platinum with a dragon head clasping a gem in its mouth this item contains the lair. So if it is lost or stolen any who can cast the dragon lair spell or uses its charge can access your lair and everything in it. If somehow destroyed everything in it has 50/50 chance of being dumped at the location of its destruction or dumping everything in the astral sea. Same with any creatures inside of the amulet.

If you are below level 10 you will be required to attune to this item to keep the door up as well as the below effects should you unattune to the item the door will close and you will need to resummon the door.

You can use a charge from the amulet to summon the door to its lair. If you do take on four levels of exahustion. It takes one month to use the charge again. It also cost a gem worth 2000 gold the same as the one in the amulet that it consumes.

If you cast Dragon Lord's Lair on an amulet that already has a Dragon Lair it will be upgraded.

If done in reverse it will downgrade it from Dragon Lord's Lair to Dragon Lair but maintains anything stored in it.
