Traits

Charge. If the lynel moves at least 30 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a longsword attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 13 (3d8) slashing damage.

Keen Sight. The lynel has advantage on all Wisdom (Perception) checks relying on sight.

Actions

Multiattack. The lynel makes two attacks: two with its longsword and one with its hooves or two with its longbow.

Flameblade Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage, or 15 (2d10 + 4) slashing damage if wielded with both hands, plus 4 (1d6) fire damage.

Hooves. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Shock-Arrow Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage plus 4 (1d6) lightning damage.

Flame Breath (Recharge 5-6). The lynel shoots forth three orbs of flame, each targeting a single creature. Each targeted creature must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw per fireball aimed at them or take 13 (4d6) fire damage.

Fiery Blast. (Recharge 6). The lynel roars loudly. Each creature in a 20-foot radius of the lynel must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or be stunned until the end of the lynel's next turn. The lynel's turn then ends. It cannot take reactions until the end of its next turn. On its next turn, the lynel cannot move, nor take any actions or bonus actions. Instead, it rears onto its hind legs and slams its longsword into the ground (provided there is ground) and creates a fiery blast. Each creature in a 30-foot radius must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw when this happens, or take 31 (9d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half damage on a successful save.

Description

A lynel has a powerful stallion's body, like a centaur, and a giant man's torso the same color as the horse part. A large mane of fur surrounds the lynel's head, which is that of a mountain goat's, its horns wide and curved upwards. Lynels are monsters, creations of Malice, so they are resurrected after blood moons. They live individually, in flat, wide areas of land, often where trees grow. Lynels are very territorial and are fierce and savage in combat.
