Description
Nowhere is safe on the coast of the eastern Mediterranean. Thousands of cities lie sacked and burned to the ground, the populations slaughtered, and all resources pillaged. During the Bronze Age Collapse, endless swarms of amphibious assaults occur - from the mysterious Sea People. Sea People appear on the horizon, an assortment of hundreds of different ships of varying types, which quickly land on beaches and then the raiders storm the shores and attack the unsuspecting city.
The Sea People are roaming bands of coastal raiders, mostly Mycenaeans or Hittites, forced to migrate after their homelands were destroyed by famine and invading tribes such as the Dorians, who migrated in the millions. Driven to madness and evil by hunger and desperation, the Mycenaeans took their hundreds and ships and fled Greece, turning to pillage and slaughter other areas to survive. Armies of tens of thousands of the sea people razed every single city on the eastern Mediterranean, until they attacked Egypt, at which point they were finally defeated.
Sea People raiders have no religion, since all their gods seem to have abandoned them, and their civilisations and priesthoods have all been destroyed. For defence, they wield a circular wooden shield, and they are armed with a short stabbing bronze sword. The swords are made from melted down farm tools, jewellery, and sacred objects, since bronze has become scarce. Sea People raiders are expert sailors, and due to all of them living as permanent fighters and raiders they are all considered professional bloodthirsty warriors.
