Greater Steed. If Bhaal isn’t mounted, he can use a bonus action to magically teleport onto Eversmoke, provided Bhaal and Eversmoke are on the same plane of existence. When he teleports, Bhaal appears astride Eversmoke, along with any equipment he is wearing or carrying. While mounted and not incapacitated, Bhaal can’t be surprised, and both he and Eversmoke have advantage on Dexterity saving throws. Bhaal and Eversmoke share a health pool, and Bhaal can choose to force an attack on Eversmoke to target him instead.
Magic Resistance. Bhaal has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Spellcasting. Bhaal is a 19th-level spellcaster. His spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 18, +10 to hit with spell attacks). He has the following paladin spells prepared:
1st level (4 slots): hellish rebuke, compelled duel, searing smite
2nd level (3 slots): hold person, branding smite
3rd level (3 slots): dispel magic, protection from energy
4th level (2 slots): banishment, find greater steed
5th level (2 slots): destructive wave (necrotic)
Multiattack. Bhaal makes three attacks with Tloques the Returned and can use a bonus action to make Eversmoke use his Hooves attack or take a different action.
Tloques the Returned. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d8 + 7) slashing damage, or 12 (1d10 + 7) slashing damage if used with two hands. Bhaal can also expend a spell slot to deal extra damage, dealing 2d8 fire damage for a 1st level slot, plus an additional 1d8 for each level of the slot above 1st.
Hooves. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 7 (2d6) fire damage.
