Traits

Shapeless Metamorphosis. If reduced to 0 hit points the Angeur goes unconscious. At the start of the Angeur's next turn it is brought back up to full health. If the Angeur is reduced to 0 hit points by fire or acid, or if it is damaged by fire or acid while unconscious it is killed.

Shapechanger. The angeur can use its action to polymorph into a Small or Medium humanoid it has seen, or back into its true form. Its statistics, other than its size, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies. As an adolescent, the angeur hasn't mastered shape changing just yet. Thus the there is always something slightly off about the shape it takes. A body part too big/small, fur where it shouldn't be, or extra digits. Usually the angeur will try to hide this deformation to better blend in.

Glory of the Feast. At the start of its turn, Angeur can spend a Feast Point to gain one of the following:

  • Add 1d4 to the next attack roll
  • Regain 2 hit points
  • Make a save at the start of its turn

Actions

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) bludgeoning, slashing, or piercing damage damage.

Feast. The angeur can spend an action to feast on the corpse of a recently killed creature. If it does so, it gains 1 Feast Point. Should it gain 5 Feast Points it can transform into an Adult Angeur.

Description

Unlike the Fledgling, the Adolescent Angeur has a more defined shaped. Often taking a bipedal stance it has something akin to a spine, head, and four limbs. These parts still don't look right and are improperly proportioned. Often adolescents hunch over as they lack the body shape to support themselves.

Adolescent Angeur are far smarter than a fledgling. Able to make plans and to overlook their base hunger. If a fledgling reaches this point, it needs to feast more to be able to properly shape themselves into a believable copy. As such, they take try to sneak their way into where they can feast easily. Most often they try to look like ill or injured humanoids and play on other humanoid's empathy to get the upper hand. They know they aren't as strong of a hunter and prefer a surprise attack over an outright fight.

If an adult is present, the adolescents will obey it until they too reach the adult phase.  An adult uses adolescents to gather information or as fodder to protect itself if discovered. The adolescents obey it willingly as only adults can reproduce, but each of them wishes to become an adult themselves and be free to do as it wishes.
