Cursed Division. As an action, the Jugem can break of part of his soul to summon a Wraith. Doing this costs the Jugem 30 HP, which is the HP this Wraith spawns with. This Wraith cannot summon specters, spawns in a location within 25 feet of the Jugem, and will never turn on The Jugem. The Wraith rolls its own initiative. After the Wraith's 3rd turn, it disappears into the Jugem and the Jugem regains half of the HP the Wraith had left. If the Wraith dies before it can finish it's 3rd turn, nothing happens.

Death Aura. The Jugem emits an aura that prevents any creature from regaining hit points while within 100 ft. of The Jugem. At the start of each of The Jugem's turns, it can decide whether the aura is active or not. This aura works against The Jugem itself too.

Actions

Multiattack. The Jugem makes 2 Claw attacks and 1 Bite attack.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 16 (3d6 + 4) slashing damage. When hit, the target must make a DC 16 Constitution Saving Throw. On a fail, the target's max HP is reduced by half the damage they received. This HP lasts until they finish a long rest.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage plus 10 (2d8) necrotic damage.

Reactions

Forceful Division. When the Jugem takes 30 or more damage in a single turn, he can use Cursed Division as a reaction. When doing this, Cursed Division costs the Jugem 0 hit points to use, and the Wraith instead spawns with an amount of hit points equal to the damage the Jugem has taken this turn.

Legendary Actions

The Jugem can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Jugem regains spent legendary actions at the start of their turn.

Cursed Division (Costs 2 actions). The Jugem uses his Cursed Division feature.

Claw Attack. The Jugem makes a Claw Attack.

Bite Attack. The Jugem makes a Bite Attack.

Description

The Jugem is a creature that absorbs life force and controls it for himself. He doesn't feed on life force however, he just seeks and wants it. The Jugem is the sum of all the life force it has absorbed during its lifespan. It's difficult to point out when exactly a Jugem is born. When several cursed or haunted souls dwell and merge together around artifacts that can be used to form a body, there's a chance of a Jugem being born. Due to the way they're born, no Jugem looks the same. One Jugem might be born from huge monster bones and broken blades, while another might come to exist from an ancient broken statue and tree roots. One thing they do have in common, they usually appear in places with a high amount of souls trapped souls.
