Traits

Ageless Form. The dragon is immune to any effect that would cause it to age prematurely or alter its natural form.

Aberrant Mind. The dragon's warped mind makes it immune to the charmed, frightened, and exhausted conditions.

Anomaly Hunter. The dragon has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to locate any creature that is not in their original time.

Actions

Multiattack. The dragon makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) necrotic damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) slashing damage.

Temporal Distortion Breath (Recharge 5–6). The dragon exhales a wave of concentrated temporal energy in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 42 (12d6) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Additionally, if the creature fails the save, roll an additional d6. On an odd number, the creature is aged by 3d10 years and on an even number, it age is regressed by 3d10 years. The effects of this aging are ended by any restoration magic or a long rest. If a creature fails the save and is reduced to 0 hit points, they are aged out of existence and can only be revived by a wish spell or divine intervention.

Paradox Creation (once per long rest). The dragon can take an action to manipulate its own team stream and conjure a past version of itself for one minute. This creature has half of the dragon's original hit points , acts on its summoner's initiative count, and can only exist for one minute due to the constraints of time travel.

Reactions

Temporal ShiftWhen hit by an attack, the dragon can distort the flow of time around itself to lessen its effects and takes half as much damage.

Description

Altered Beings. Once a regular dragon, this creature has been exposed to a critical level of time energy. The energy has altered its body to the point where it has lost all of its previous resistances and breath weapon. This new being is a predator that exists to hunt across time and space. Its favored prey are individuals who exist outside of their own time, which it can locate with unnerving ease.

Manipulators of Time. An individual time dragon is preternaturally aware of its status in the past. Due to both this and their own innate temporal magic, they can alter enough of their own past to conjure a version of themselves from the past. This version exists only as a paradox and cannot be sustained for a prolonged period of time.

Collectors of History. Time Dragons retain the desire of all dragons to collect and hoard treasure, but a Time Dragon does not care for simple gold and trinkets. It prefers to hoard historical relics and artifacts that have existed throughout the ages. Due to their nature as travelers of the time stream, one can often find multiple versions of the same artifact from different points in history in a Time Dragon's hoard.
