Traits

Aggressive. As a bonus action, the Zhou Beast can move up to its speed toward a hostile creature that it can see.

Multiheaded. The Zhou Beast can’t be surprised, and it has advantage on saving throws against being knocked unconscious.

Pack Tactics. The Zhou Beast has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the Zhou Beast’s allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.

Actions

Multiattack. The Zhou Beast makes two bite attacks, one claw attack, and it's Breath Weapon as a bonus action if it's available

Bite (Left). Melee Weapon Attack:  +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) fire damage

Bite (Right). Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) cold damage

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (3d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Breath Weapon [rollable](Recharge 5–6); The Zhou beast exhales from both heads in a 30 foot cone. Each creature must make a DC 18 Dexterity and Constitution saving throw. On a failed save for the Dexterity saving throw, each creature takes 3d10 fire damage, and is on fire. They take an additional 1d10 fire damage at the start of their turns until they or another creature takes an action to put the flames out. On a failed Constitution saving throw, each creature in the cone take 4d8 cold damage, and has their speed reduced by half for 1 minute. They can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of their turns to end this effect.

On a successful Dexterity saving throw, they take half the initial damage and are not on fire.

On a successful Constitution saving throw, they take half the initial damage and are not slowed.

Reactions

Frostfire Ingestion. If the Zhou Beast is hit by cold or fire damage, it can use it's reaction to have the corresponding head eat the damage. Instead of taking the initial damage, it instead heals for that damage. The Zhou Beast can only use this reaction once per long rest for each instance of cold and fire damage. Calculate resistances as normal.

Description

A rare and dangerous creature in Zadaa, The Zhou beast is a two headed cat-like creature, who's massive paws each hold 6 claws, and each of it's two heads command either the power of fire or ice. Often depicted as a harbinger of doom on the territory, the Ghee who manage to slay this creature (or capture) are revered in Xhaxhu as incredible warriors, and celebrated like heroes.
