Description
Yumon, the Plague of Bloodscorn, is a 15' mass of undead energy. His body resembles that of a Giant Orc, with pale grey skin and bright white eyes. Though his spirit is undead, his body is in peak condition. He wears plate armor crafted from dragon's bone and wields the legendary artifact The Skull of Bloodscorn.
Lair and Lair Actions
The Courtyard of Bloodscorn Citadel is the Lair of Yumon. Walls 50ft high and 30ft thick surround the courtyard. 300 feet long and 150 feet wide, the courtyard is plagued with a haze of a light black fog-like substance and there are plants that do not look quite alive within the area. On either side of the courtyard are two large pools - each 50sq feet - filled with the blood of those who have tried to enter Bloodscorn Citadel and failed.
Lair Actions
On initiative count 1, Yumon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Yumon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Yumon can summon two massive tentacles from the pools in the courtyard. These tentacles act at the beginning of the turn and only last for 1 round. They immediately grapple a nearby creature, and anything still in it's grasp at the end of the round is pulled into the pool. Creatures in the pools take 4d12 acid damage every round. Creatures can escape the grapple of the tentacles by succeeding on a DC 19 Strength or Acrobatics check, or if players deal a total of 60 damage to a single tentacle.
- Yumon can sacrifice a creature on his altar to make the courtyard begin to rain blood. While this is occurring, any hostile creatures toward Yumon take 1d12 psychic damage every round. The blood rain lasts for 1d10 rounds.
