Description
Thick armor plating covers the body of the plant-eating dinosaur ankylosaurus, which defends itself against predators with a knobbed tail that delivers a devastating strike.
I used a random encounter generator for 5 lvl 3 players and it gave me two of these big boys! Now I don't need a deadly incounter as it's my players first real big encounter, can I throw one of these at them? or will that be too hard?
I don't think WOTC know what dinosaurs are.
my people are dead

Wondering the same....
Only their backs are armoured. It's a perfect design against large predatory dinosaurs but leaves so gaps that can be easily exploited, and which aren't tough to spot or target because of it's immense size. 15 is a good AC, and it does have ~33% more HP than the average CR 2 to show off it's toughness.
