All Tongues of Men. While within 5 feet of a humanoid, the humanoid and mote can communicate regardless of language. When summoned as a familiar this ability is conferred to the caster while they share a space.
Innate Spellcasting. The mote can innately cast Guidance. Its innate spellcasting ability is wisdom
Holy Nimbus. The mote can use its action to start emitting bright light in a 20 foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. As long as the mote continues emitting this light, undead, aberrations, and fiends have disadvantage on attack rolls against the mote and any creature it shares a space with.
Light Ray. Ranged Spell Attack: +4 to hit, range 60 ft., 1 target. Hit: 5(1d6 + 2) Radiant damage.
Blessed Reprieve. When a creature within 30 feet of the mote falls to 0 hit points, the mote may use its reaction to grant that creature advantage on its first death save.
Description
The power of the celestial plane is such that even abstract concepts can be brought to reality, to act independently. A Virtue Mote is a tiny reflection of the power of a good ideal such as Patience or Mercy, and acts as an emissary on the material plane. Often found inspiring mortals to better themselves, these creatures can also be found at holy sites or acting as aides to chosen mortals.
These creatures appear as robed humanoids only a few inches tall, and can easily ride on the shoulder of a mortal. While these creatures lack true free will, they do make appropriate choices of action to further their virtue and guide their chosen mortal. They may speak only when most effective, or with a constant stream of litany.
