Assassinate. Akali has advantage on attacks against creatures who have not taken a turn in combat yet, and any attack that hits a surprised creature is a critical hit.

One With the Shadows. Whenever Akali hides in dim light or darkness, she becomes invisible. 

Sneak Attack. Once a turn, Akali deals an additional 28 (8d8) sneak attack damage when she hits an enemy with a weapon attack and she has advantage on the attack roll, or the enemy is within 5 ft of an ally who is not incapacitated and Akali does not have disadvantage on the attack roll. 

Uncanny Dodge. When Akali is hit by an attack from an attacker she can see, she can use her reaction to halve the damage.

Evasion. When Akali is forced to make a dexterity saving throw for half damage, she takes no damage on a success and half damage on a fail. 

Legendary Resistance (2/day). Whenever Akali fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.

Actions

Multiattack. Akali can make three Kama or Shuriken attacks.

Kama. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) [slashing] damage. 

Shuriken. RangedWeapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 20/60 ft., 1 target. Hit: 10 (2d4 + 5) [piercing] damage.

5-point kunai strike (Recharge 5-6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 20/60 ft., 1 target. Hit: 17 (5d4+5) [piercing] damage. A creature hit by this attack must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw taking 24 (7d6) poison damage and their speed is halved until the end of their next turn. On a save, the creature takes half damage and is not slowed in this way.

Bonus Actions

Cunning Action. Once on a turn, as a bonus action, Akali can take the dash, disengage, or hide actions. 

Reactions

Twilight Shroud (3/day). When Akali is hit by an attack or fails a Dexterity saving throw, she can drop a smoke bomb, creating a 15-ft radius sphere of black smoke clouds, and the triggering attack or magical effect misses. The cloud spreads around corners and heavily obscures the area. Akali is unaffected by the smoke. The cloud remains for 1 minute, or until a moderate wind (11-20 mph) disperses it.

Legendary Actions

Akali has three legendary reactions that can only be used at the end of another creature's turn. Akali regains all legendary actions at the start of her turn. 

Move (Costs 1 Action). Akali can move up to her speed.

Attack (Costs 2 Actions). Akali can make one Kuma or shuriken attack.

Slip Away (Costs 2 Actions). If Akali is within 30 feet of a smoke cloud, she can retreat into it and immediately take the hide action. Opportunity attacks against her due to this movement are at disadvantage.

Description

Akali was once a member of the Kinkou Oder, having earned the title of Fist of Shadow before abandoning the group of assassins, disagreeing with its leader on ideology. She now works alone, striking from the shadows to protect her homeland, striking at any threat that may present itself.
