Armored. Madato has disadvantage on all Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
Gnome Cunning. Madato has advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.
Spellcasting. Madato is a 2nd-level spellcaster. Her spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 12, +4 to hit with spell attacks). She has the following cleric spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): light, mending, toll the dead
1st level (2 slots): bless, charm person, cure wounds, disguise self, guiding bolt
Blessing of the Trickster. Madato can touch a willing creature other than herself to give it advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks for 1 hour or until you use this feature again.
Handaxe. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) slashing damage.
Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (1d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage.
Rage (Recharge 6). Madato can enter a rage for up to 1 minute (10 rounds). She gains advantage on STR checks and saving throws (not attacks), +2 melee damage with STR weapons, and resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. Madato cannot cast or concentrate on spells while raging. Her rage ends early if she is knocked unconscious or if her turn ends and she hasn’t attacked a hostile creature since her last turn or taken damage since then. Madato can also end her rage as a bonus action.
Description
Living the good life on a river houseboat with her partner Mamatay Su Pagsulay, Madato is the muscle in the pair's schemes to filch exotic spices, dried fruits, and fine alcoholic beverages from any city they float through. She cuts a (small) dramatic figure, a gnome woman with deep purple tattoos wearing baby-blue enamled half-plate and a lavender headband, carrying a comically large morningstar and a painted pink targe.
DM Note: Madato is loosely based on a level 1 barbarian multi-classed to level 1 trickery domain cleric.
