Traits

Shapechanger. The yuan-ti can use its action to polymorph into a Large snake, or back into its true form. Its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It doesn't change form if it dies.

Innate Spellcasting (Abomination Form Only). The yuan-ti's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15). The yuan-ti can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: animal friendship (snakes only)
3/day: suggestion
1/day: fear
Magic Resistance. The yuan-ti has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack (Abomination Form Only). The yuan-ti makes two ranged attacks or three melee attacks, but can use its bite and constrict attacks only once each.

BiteMelee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) poison damage.

ConstrictMelee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 The first round does (2d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 19). The second round does (2d10+6) and the target is grappled (escape DC 20). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the yuan-ti can't constrict another target. When the yuan-ti is constricting a target, attackers have advantage to attacks against the yuan-ti.

Spear(Abomination Form Only)Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) Piercing damage.

Longbow (Abomination Form Only)Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) poison damage.

Bonus Actions

Dash - Like a snake, the yuan-ti springs forwards at immense speed.

When you take the Dash action, you gain extra Movement for the current turn. The increase equals your speed, after applying any modifiers. With a speed of 30 feet, for example, you can move up to 60 feet on Your Turn if you dash.
Any increase or decrease to your speed changes this additional Movement by the same amount. If your speed of 30 feet is reduced to 15 feet, for instance, you can move up to 30 feet this turn if you dash.

Description

With their almost completely serpentine form and vaguely humanoid arms able to use weapons and tools, abominations were the form of yuan-ti that most closely resembled the originally intended appearance of the yuan-ti race as envisioned by the serpent gods

Abominations were able to change their form into a viper of various sizes. They also had the ability to camouflage themselves and anything they carried to blend in with their surroundings. During melee combat, while holding onto an enemy, abominations could excrete a powerful acid from their skin. Abominations were capable of causing fear of snakes to any creature within 30 ft. (9.1 m).

Abominations were obligate carnivores and preferred eating warm-blooded creatures. Their favorite meal were birds and humans.
