Spellcasting. The Void Bound Servant is a 0-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is INT (spell save DC 12, +4 to hit with spell attacks). The Void Bound Servant has the following Wizard spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): Light, Mending, Prestidigitation, Toll The Dead
Regeneration: Whenever the Void Bound Servant is reduced to 0 hit points, it's body immediately dissolves and it's consciousness returns to the point in the void where it's existence is anchored. It must then regenerate it's body, which takes 1d4-1 days, before it can be resummoned.
Multiattck. The Void Bound Servant makes two claw attacks.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) Slashing damage.
Mind Robbery. The Void Bound Servant targets one creature that it can see within 30 ft. of it. The target must contest it's Charisma (Deception) check versus the Void Bound Servant's Intelligence (Investigation) check. If the Void Bound Servant wins, it magically learns one secret that the target is keeping, which it promptly shares telepathically with it's master.
If the target fails the check by half or more of what the Void Bound Servant rolled, the target permanently loses one point of Intelligence.
Take the Hit. When any ally or friendly creature within five feet of the Void Bound Servant is attacked by any other creature that it can see, they will use their reaction to jump in front of the attack and take the hit instead.
Description
The Void Bound Servant is a consciousness that is anchored to a single point in the void. It can generate a flesh and blood body with witch to move about and explore, but the consciousness is always anchored to that same spot. When the body is destroyed the consciousness immediately returns to it's anchor point, regardless of how far away it had traveled, including other planes of existence.
It wants nothing more than to experience things outside of the void, and will make agreements to serve creatures or beings capable of opening portals, or conjuring it's bodies to other places and planes.
The bodies that the consciousness generates are done so in the void. So, like most other creatures that are born in the void, they are the bodies of an aberration. Humanoid over all, the bodies are hunched and covered in thick leathery skin with bony plates across the back, chest, and fore arms, which grants them natural armor. They generally stand between six and seven feet tall, and have no hair. Their heads are covered in tiny spikes that slightly mimic the placement of hair, sometimes even that of a beard or mustache if the body appears largely masculine. The arms and legs are lanky, but appear powerful, and the hands at the end of each arm have fingers and thumbs tipped with sharp claws.
The head is slightly elongated, giving it a bit of a muzzle, which is filled with sharp teeth. It has three eyes arranged in a triangular pattern, placed on the face roughly where the eyes of a humanoid are usually located. The eyes have no pupils, and all three are the same solid, bright color, which can range from red, blue, green, orange, etc.. It's skin is a mottled mix of greys, greens, blues, and browns.
It can speak any language known by it's current master, as well as communicate with them telepathically.
The Void Bound Servant is faithful to it's master, and will remain completely loyal to them until that master either dies, or otherwise ends their agreement in some manor. Despite it's monstrous appearance, it conducts it's self in a generally civil manor, eagerly partaking in any activity that it is allowed to participate in, or any task assigned to it by it's master. It will always treat the friends and allies of it's master courteously, regardless of how they treat it.
It regards any harm to, or even death of, it's body as little more than an inconvenience, as with in a few days it can simply regenerate a new one. To this end, it will readily throw it's self into harms' way to protect it's master and their allies.
