Traits

Agent of Territory: All soft ground within 200 ft of the Myakkmur is difficult terrain for creatures other than itself and is ridden of wildlife.

Blind. The Kruustazelo automatically fails ability checks requiring sight, and has advantage on ability checks requiring hearing, feeling, taste or smell. Upon being deafened, the Kruustazelo becomes stunned until the end of it's next turn.

Acidic Demise. Upon death, the Myakkmur explodes into a wave of acid, creating a 20 ft radius pool of acid originating from it's mouth. Each creature in those areas must make a DC 18 Constitution Saving Throw, taking 22 (6d6) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. For the next 1d4 hours, the area is difficult terrain and every minute a creature spends there it must repeat the Saving Throw, taking 11 (3d6) acid damage on a failed save.

Spellcasting. The Myakkmur's innate spellcasting ability is intelligence (spell save DC 15, +9 to hit with spell attacks). The Myakkmur innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: DruidcraftFaerie Fire

2/day each: CounterspellHeat MetalShield

1/day each: Blindness/deafnessChromatic Orb (2nd level), Dissonant Whispers (2nd level), Inflict WoundsMoonbeamScorching Ray

Actions

Multiattack. The Myakkmur makes two slam attacks and one bite attack.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., 2 targets. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 11 (3d6) piercing damage and 11 (3d6) acid damage.

Acerbic Spit (Recharge 5-6). The Myakkmur spits out a barrage of spit, creating three 5 ft wide pools of acid within 60 ft of itself. Each creature in those areas must make a DC 18 Constitution Saving Throw, taking 22 (6d6) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. For the next three turns, the area is difficult terrain and a creature that ends it's turn there must repeat the Saving Throw, taking 11 (3d6) acid damage on a failed save.

Legendary Actions

The Myakkmur can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Myakkmur regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Acerbic Droplet (Costs 3 Actions). The Myakkmur spits out a barrage of spit, creating a 5 ft wide pool of acid within 60 ft of itself. Each creature in that area must make a DC 18 Constitution Saving Throw, taking 22 (6d6) acid damage on a failed save, ore half as much on a successful one. For the next three turns, the area is difficult terrain and a creature that ends it's turn there must repeat the Saving Throw, taking 11 (3d6) acid damage on a failed save.

Bite (Costs 2 actions). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 11 (3d6) piercing damage and 11 (3d6) acid damage.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., 2 targets. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Detect. The Myakkmur makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Description

" "The desert dunes seem odd today, don't they?" Yikkak asked, ruffling his feathers. "Yeah, they seem almost as though they've been smoothed over" I recognized, looking over the desert wastelands. "Wasn't there a tree there?" I induced, "I'm almost certain." I continued. "Wait," He said, leaning down close to the ground. "Something is burrowing through the ground." The sound became more apparent, and I began to tense up. "Run." I grunted, turning quickly and picking up a pace. "AAAH!" Yikkak screamed. I turned around, the sand below him was loose, as if sifting into a chamber of sorts. He managed to take flight just as a huge worm-like creature erupted from the ground. "Quickly, we need to find solid ground!" I shouted out, turning to run towards a hill running along a cliffside. The sand was weaker than before, which hindered my running, however I managed to run past the solid rock platforms supporting the hill. As I looked back at the beast Yikkak glided down right beside me, and when the creature understood the nature of the position, it turned to leave." - Lathlaeril Quipetor

The Myakkmur is a tyrant of the open plains and warm deserts, it burrows through the ground, loosening it as it goes, making it's home easier to travel though for it, but more hazardous for other creatures. It usually has either tan or dark brown skin, which it sheds and then recycles every week. It has no eyes, and relies on the loose earth to hunt. It has glands in it's cheeks which produce a potent acid that eats through tougher materials such as stone and metal, which it uses to expand it's home.

It's mouth (around 5 ft wide) can either be cylindrical, with it's many layers of teeth evenly spread around the opening, or in rare circumstances, it's mouth may be similar to that of a human. It is around 6 ft wide and 45 ft long.

It's origins are unknown but it is speculated to be a collaboration of powerful creators of many kinds, be it fey, elemental, or celestial.

If you were to ask a being of incredible power or a creator of a plane, and they were willing to answer, all they'd be able to say is "Once a large group of creators like me got together and created their own plane that only they could access, which may not currently exist anymore. They mixed all of the aspects of their respective planes and created many monstrosities, including the Myakkmur, and despite all having their own goals and beliefs, were able to agree to give the Myakkmur one goal, "To defend it's territory and rid it of other creatures." This happened long ago and many of the individuals involved have been killed or stripped of their powers, many have tried to banish their creations to Carceri, but due to being directly created by many powerful people, none have succeeded." These words may change depending on how willing the creator is to tell you and their place in the story.

Creator's Note: You can also alter this story to fit your campaign if you wish, It's mostly just a cool piece of lore I made. I'm also okay if you wish to create some of the other creatures that were created the same way as the Myakkmur (Just please don't claim that it's your own and credit me.)
