Traits

Magical Connection. Due to demons' and dragons' connection to magic, the Palnoma is able to sense magic within 30 feet of itself, accurately enough to sense magical spells, objects, traces, sources and casters.

Magic Resistance. The Palnoma has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Blind. The Palnoma automatically fails ability checks requiring sight, and has advantage on ability checks requiring hearing, feeling, taste or smell. Upon being deafened, the Palnoma becomes stunned until the end of it's next turn.

Shadow Blood. Upon the Palnoma being hit by a melee attack, the attacker takes 14 (4d6) necrotic damage.

Actions

Multiattack. The Palnoma makes two bite attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 10 (3d6) piercing damage and 10 (3d6) necrotic damage. 

Daunting Breath (Recharge 5-6). The Palnoma exhales necrotic energy in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that cone must make a DC 15 Constitution Saving Throw, taking 21 (2d8 +12) necrotic damage on a failed save, and half as much on a successful one. All creatures that fail the save must roll a d4, at the end of their turn for that many rounds, darkness spreads from them, creating a 5-foot radius sphere of Darkness lasting 3 rounds.

 

Legendary Actions

The Palnoma can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Palnoma regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Detect. The Palnoma makes a Wisdom ( Perception) check.

Bite. The Palnoma makes one bite attack.

Spit. Action Ranged Attack. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 40/80 ft., 1 target. Hit: 14 (4d6) necrotic damage.

The Palnoma is a monstrosity consisting of demon blood and dragon scales of varying size and colour. They are bipedal with no arms or eyes and they have a large mouth on their body with small holes acting as ears. Due to their dragon extract, they have a breath weapon, but due to their demon blood, this breath weapon is completely unique. Palnomas are created by dark and demented witches, wizards, alchemists, cultists and such, being loyal to them until their death, in which they roam the land, even between planes, reeking havoc where they walk.
