Description

The Eilithair is a rare elephant-serpent hybrid, it has large, black, serpentine scales spread across it's leathery brown, gray or white skin, which grant it extra protection, and are sought after for use in armors. It stands at around 6-10 feet tall, being shorter than a regular elephant, but is much more dexterous and agile. Their eyes are usually green or yellow with gray slits and their horns are angled downwards and appear more like fangs.

Peaceful Yet Cautious. Eilithairs rarely interact with humans, orcs, dragonborn, halflings or dwarves, finding them less trustworthy than elves and gnomes who live with nature, however they do occasionally form bonds with those who treat them respectfully. An Eilithair will also help a creature that has been injured by healing it and bringing it to shelter.

Companionship. Taming an Eilithair is impossible, but to instead befriend one requires patience and good intent. Make sure you always maintain a distance, an Eilithair feels unsafe if it has little time to react to your actions; aid it, make sure it is safe by looking out for predators and possible dangers; support it, if it is hungry, make sure to feed it, and if is injured, make sure to heal it, from a distance if possible.

- Eilithair is a combination of the Irish words for elephant and snake.
