Description
Rakailis are large rodents found in a variety of biomes. It's fur has the same array of colours observed in rats, with a large pink tail. It has viscous claws which it uses to rend it's opponents and feast on their corpses, as they are carnivorous, unlike most rodents.
Water Predators. They usually lair near rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water, where they can be seen consuming fish, frogs, and other waterborne prey. Occasionally, they will see caravans or small adventuring parties if they are near a road, and will ambush them by waiting stealthily in a water source close to the path. Not only this, but Rakaili will sometimes settle in the sewer systems of towns and cities, making them pests that cost time and money to exterminate.
War Mounts. Despite their low intelligence, Rakailis will be tamed by larger and smarter creatures such as giants on rare occasions. Only the greatest of tamers can achieve this, but a tamed Rakaili is a powerful war mount capable of mauling entire armies if left in the care of a prestigious rider. Even more rarely, humans may tame them to transport goods, though this is incredibly rare and time-consuming.
