Traits

Innate Spellcasting. The yowie has the following spells prepared, and can cast them without material components; its spellcasting ability is Wisdom, DC 19 and +9 to hit:
At will:
shocking grasp, invisibility
3/Day:
thunderclap, expeditious retreat
1/Day:
lightning bolt

Backwards Feet. The yowie's backwards feet make tracking it extremely difficult: creatures attempting to track the yowie by its footprints alone must make a DC20 Wisdom (Survival) check: on success, the creature recognises the true direction the yowie was heading and tracks it normally; on failure, the creature tracks the yowie in the opposite direction to which it was truly travelling.

Storm Hunter. During a thunderstorm, or when exposed to lightning or thunder damage, the yowie's movement speed doubles.

Actions

Multiattack. The yowie makes three claw attacks, or casts one spell and makes one claw attack.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 16 (2d12 + 4) slashing damage.

Description

The yowie is usually described as a hairy and ape-like creature standing upright at between 2.1 m (6 ft 11 in) and 3.6 m (12 ft). The yowie's feet are described as much larger than a human's, but alleged yowie tracks are inconsistent in shape and toe number, and the descriptions of yowie foot and footprints provided by yowie witnesses are even more varied than those of Bigfoot. The yowie's nose is described as wide and flat. Behaviourally, some report the yowie as timid or shy. Others describe the yowie as sometimes violent or aggressive.

Thought to be some distant cousin of the yeti, yowies are mostly solitary creatures that roam undisturbed forests and seemingly inhospitable deserts, though they are also occasionally sighted in low-altitude mountains and roaming grasslands. Those who attempt to track the movements of these elusive creatures often find themselves turned around or caught in a mysterious thunderstorm, though it's unknown whether the yowie itself is responsible for these circumstances.
