Multiattack. The spectator makes one bite attack. If the attack hits, it can shoot an eye ray at the same creature.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (2d6) piercing damage.
Eye Rays. The spectator shoots up to two of the following magical eye rays at one or two creatures it can see within 90 feet of it. It can use each ray only once on a turn.
- Confusion Ray. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw, or it can’t take reactions until the end of its next turn. On its turn, the target can’t move, and it uses its action to make a melee or ranged attack against a randomly determined creature within range. If the target can’t attack, it does nothing on its turn.
- Paralyzing Ray. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
- Fear Ray. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, with disadvantage if the spectator is visible to the target, ending the effect on itself on a success.
- Wounding Ray. The target must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking 16 (4d10) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
- Abyssal Ray. Roll on the table below. The target must make DC 14 saving throw determined by the result.
- Thunder (Strength) On a failed save, the target takes 12 (4d6) thunder damage, is pushed back 10 ft., and falls prone.
- Soulfire (Dexterity) On a failed save, the target takes 8 (2d8) fire damage, and is outlined in a blue, roaring flame, shedding bright light in a 10 ft. radius and dim light for an additional 10 ft. While the target sheds light, any attack roll against it has advantage if the attacker can see it, and the target can't benefit from being invisible. This effect lasts for 1 minute, and ends early if the spectator breaks concentration on it, as if concentrating on a spell.
- Senseless (Constitution) On a failed save, the target takes 3 (1d6) necrotic damage and 3 (1d6) radiant damage, and becomes blinded and deafened. At the end of its turn, the target can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
- Puppetry (Intelligence) On a failed save, the target takes 8 (4d4) psychic damage, and the spectator can direct it to move up to its movement speed in any given direction at the start of the target's turn. If the space the target is directed towards is obviously hazardous, such as lava, a steep drop, or a hunting trap, the target can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success. This effect lasts for 1 minute, and ends early if the spectator breaks concentration on it, as if concentrating on a spell.
- Dream Eater (Wisdom) On a failed save, the target falls into a deep sleep, becoming unconscious. As long as the target is unconscious, the spectator regains 10 hit points at the end of its turn, and 5 hit points at the start of the target's turn. The target wakes up if it takes damage, if another creature uses an action to shake it awake, or if the spectator breaks concentration on it, as if concentrating on a spell.
- Misfortune (Charisma) On a failed save, the target is cursed with grievous misfortune. Whenever the target makes an attack roll or saving throw, the must roll 1d6 and subtract the number rolled from the attack roll or saving throw. This effect lasts for 1 minute, and ends early if the spectator breaks concentration on it, as if concentrating on a spell.
Create Food and Water. The spectator magically creates enough food and water to sustain itself for 24 hours.
Spell Reflection. If the spectator makes a successful saving throw against a spell, or a spell attack misses it, the spectator can choose another creature (including the spellcaster) it can see within 30 feet of it. The spell targets the chosen creature instead of the spectator. If the spell forced a saving throw, the chosen creature makes its own save. If the spell was an attack, the attack roll is rerolled against the chosen creature.
