Keen Hearing and Smell. The Voidtouched Jackalwere has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.

Legendary Resistance (2/day). If the Voidtouched Jackalwere fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Pack Tactics. The Voidtouched Jackalwere has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the jackalwere’s allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.

Actions

Multiattack. The Voidtouched Jackalwere makes three attacks: once with its bite and twice with its claws. Alternatively, it attacks twice with its claws and uses its Void Gaze, if available.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage, plus 18 (4d8) necrotic damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage, plus 9 (2d8) necrotic damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Void Gaze (Recharge 5-6). The Voidtouched Jackalwere gazes at one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 17 (5d6) necrotic damage and then succumbs to a magical slumber, falling unconscious for 10 minutes or until someone uses an action to shake the target awake. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and is immune to the Voidtouched Jackalwere’s Void Gaze for the next 24 hours. Undead and creatures immune to being charmed aren’t affected by it.

Bonus Actions

Command Ally. As a bonus action, the Voidtouched Jackalwere commands another jackalwere within 60 feet of it to use its reaction to make one melee attack.

Void Step. As a bonus action, the Voidtouched Jackalwere can teleport up to 30 feet to a point within range that it can see.

Bloodied

When bloodied at 71 HP, the Voidtouched Jackalwere has the following features.

Trigger Ability: Cornered. When first bloodied, the Voidtouched Jackalwere can make a melee attack against a creature within range as a reaction.

New Ability: Bloodlust. While bloodied, the Voidtouched Jackalwere deals one extra die of damage with its melee weapon attacks against other bloodied creatures.

Legendary Actions

The Voidtouched Jackalwere can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Voidtouched Jackalwere regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
