Chain Breath (Recharge 6). The wyvern spews forth a bolt of lightning that arcs toward a target within 120 feet of it. Two chaining bolts then leap from that target to as many as two other targets, which can be a creatures or objects, each of which must be within 30 feet of the first target. Each target of the lightning bolts must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 18 (4d8) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Description
They basically look just like Frigg from the video game War Dragons.
Violetbolt wyverns are a species of skydrake (wyvern-like creatures that have breath weapons and highly-magical nature) that lives just about anywhere that has some sort of balance between hot and cold, as they love extreme weather. This is due to them loving the harsh winds and lightning storms that allow them to experiment with their chaotic lightning abilities on unsuspecting prey caught in the storm. Their scales are various shades of purple, their backs are covered in layered scaly plates, their heads are topped by a pair of similar looking horns, and their wing-fingers end with wickedly curved claw-like structures. While not cruel, these skydrakes will sometimes sort of play with their food before killing them, painfully nipping at them before finishing them off with a flash of talons or lightning. Often, local warlords will capture and forcefully train these skydrakes and have high-ranking generals ride the creatures into battle against the warlord's enemies. In situations like this, the chain lightning effects of the skydrakes breath is extremely useful when striking down precise opponents and/or annihilating ground-based war machines.
