  • Reckless Attack. When Zanowar makes his first attack on his turn, he can choose to attack recklessly, granting advantage on attack rolls but also granting advantage to attacks against him.
  • Danger Sense. Zanowar has advantage on Dexterity saving throws against effects he can see, such as traps and spells.
  • Unarmored Defense. Zanowar's Armor Class is 10 + Dexterity modifier + Constitution modifier.
  • Unlocking Strength. When Zanowar attempts to unlock doors, disarm traps, or break into containers, he does so with his enormous strength rather than dexterity-based tools. He can attempt to force them open as an action, making a Strength check with advantage.

  • Multiattack. Zanowar makes two attacks with his "Blunt Scimitar"
  • Blunt Scimitar: Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 1d6 radiant damage.
  • Dragon Breath: Zanowar can exhale destructive energy in a 15-foot cone. When he uses this breath weapon, each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 13). On a failed save, a target takes 2d6 damage of a type associated with his dragon ancestry (typically lightning for blue dragonborns), or half as much on a successful save. Once used, Zanowar can't use this ability again until he completes a short or long rest.
Bonus Actions
  • Rage. Zanowar can fly into a rage as a bonus action. While raging, he gains advantage on Strength checks and saves and deals an extra 2 damage on melee weapon attacks.
Reactions
  • Opportunity Attack: When a hostile creature he can see moves out of his reach, Zanowar can use his reaction to make a melee attack against that creature. If the attack hits, it deals 7 (1d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 1d6 radiant damage.

Description

Zanowar is an elderly blue dragonborn with silvery scales, standing at an imposing 6 and a half feet tall. His sapphire blue eyes reflect a distant, mystified look, hinting at a mind occupied by memories long past. He sports a mismatched "thief" attire, complete with a black cloak and a patchwork leather vest. His boots have seen better days.

Despite his elderly demeanor, Zanowar is unfailingly friendly and often unaware of his chaotic antics. He believes himself to be a master thief, attempting to steal with a blundering grace that is both humorous and endearing. He has a heart of gold and is always ready to help those in need, even if he doesn't fully understand the situation.
