This darkness functions as if under the effects of a Darkness spell, and even darkvision cannot penetrate it. Creatures within the aura have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks and attacks made against the Voidshrieker.
Ethereal Jaunt. As a bonus action, the Voidshrieker can shift partially into the Ethereal Plane, allowing it to move through obstacles and creatures until the start of its next turn. While in this state, it is immune to nonmagical attacks.
Innate Spellcasting (1/Day). The Voidshrieker can cast Fear (DC 13) at will and Blight once per day (spell save DC 13).
Multiattack. The Voidshrieker makes three attacks: one with its Void Talons and two with its Void Tentacles.
Void Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 3) slashing damage, and the target must make a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be restrained until the end of its next turn.
Void Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 3) necrotic damage.
Void Bolt (Recharge 5-6). The Voidshrieker fires a bolt of void energy in a 60-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
The Voidshrieker can take 4 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Voidshrieker regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
- Void Lash. The Voidshrieker makes one Void Tentacle attack.

Description

Voidshriekers are known for their ambush tactics, using their Void Talons to strike and incapacitate foes, then following up with relentless assaults from their Void Tentacles. They can also unleash a powerful Void Bolt, consuming the life force of those caught in its path.
These malevolent entities are drawn to sources of magic and darkness, often lurking near Abyssal gateways or powerful artifacts. Adventurers who encounter a Voidshrieker in the Abyssal Underworld must be prepared for an encounter that tests their resolve and understanding of the plane's sinister denizens.
