Description

The Acklay is a three-eyed amphibious crustacean of tremendous size. Walking on 15 foot long stilt-like legs, they tower over most of the competition on the sea floor, and conquer the highest sea cliff. Most Acklays live a majority of their lives underwater, but the most voracious amongst them explore the shores more often than the sea. These creatures have small stomachs, but were capable of expanding them when necessary. They havs high metabolisms, which gave them substantial amounts of energy, but also causes them to starve quickly. Acklays are aggressive creatures, making them favorites in gladiatorial combat. They can breathe underwater, due to special gill like organs in their throats. Their chitinous shells tend to be shades of greens when they are younger, which turn harder and darker as they grow, becoming brown as adults and becoming black when they are elders.
It is also said that their meat is just like that of a... crab.
