Flyby. The owl doesn’t provoke Opportunity Attacks when it flies out of an enemy’s reach.

As a DM, I wish they would have removed the flyby ability of the owl. It greatly reduces any player's desire to use anything else for a familiar.
Changing it so any CR 0 beast could be a familiar gave plenty of new options that are just as good or better, especially for small characters who can ride medium creatures, such as hyenas or goats or dear.
